The Women Business Owners of Southeastern Michigan presented its 2009 awards to several area business women during the Celebrate Women in Business Dinner at Quarter Bistro and Tavern in Ann Arbor.

Debra Power of Power Marketing Research, and Carrie Hensel, founders of Women's Exchange of Washtenaw (WXW), were honored for Cutting Edge Innovation.

Since its founding in 2009, WXW has been focused on helping women in business. Our all-volunteer, Ann Arbor-based non-profit has operated on a minimal budget while successfully connecting, teaching, and inspiring hundreds of women leaders in Michigan. WXW seeks to help women business leaders and emerging leaders connect and help each other solve business problems, grow companies, create more products and services, employ more people, and revitalize our region. WXW works directly with business owners, CEOs, managers, and business & community leaders to help solve business issues, train up-and-coming young professionals, and connect workers with jobs. - Learn more about this Ann Arbor - based nonprofit organization at: http://wxwbusiness.com
